The Green Room returned to The Kia Oval for the fifth and final England v India Test Match, with England in the lead and Alastair Cook’s final international fixture. This was sure to be an unmissable battle between the two sides.

Hospitality Finder welcomed guests to the prestigious Green Room for the first two days of England v India’s 5th Test Match at the Kia Oval. Guests were welcomed to The Green Room with breakfast on arrival, before taking their seats for the first Q&A of the day. Mark Durden-Smith – official host of The Green Room – took to the stage along with Hospitality Finder ambassadors Darren Gough and Kevin Pietersen. The panel of cricket legends was completed with former England International cricketers Graham Thorpe and Matthew Hoggard. They entertained the audience with their thoughts on the current England cricket team and what they thought of Alastair Cook’s recent retirement announcement.

VIP guests then made their way out to their seats where they had a fantastic panoramic view of the field of play to watch England take on India. England won the toss and chose to bat first, by the end of the first innings by the 28th over England were up by 68-1 (Cook 37, Ali 2).

After the first innings, guests made their way back in to the first three courses of their sumptuous Green Room cuisine. VIP guests were treated to…

We had the pleasure of announcing Hospitality Finder’s latest ambassador signing Jason Roy, who will be us joining next summer for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and The Ashes series. As a current England Cricketer Roy has an extensive wealth of knowledge on the current team, England’s ranking as world number 1 and was keen to share with the audience his thoughts on how the team will fare in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 next summer. Jason Roy was a brilliant addition to our cricket line-up at the Test Series, including current ambassadors Kevin Pietersen and Darren Gough, and we can’t wait for him to join us again next year at The Oval.

Finally, there was no better way to round off a day of cricket than with some afternoon tea, and that’s exactly what The Green Room guests we treated to, with a selection of gourmet sandwiches, Scones, clotted cream and jam, Victoria sponge, Macaroons & Éclair.

Joining us post-afternoon tea were cricket legends, Michael Vaughan & Steve Harmison, which added to our brilliant line-up of sporting legends on stage. Of course, The Green Room always has a star-studded guest list and inside The Green Room we were also joined by Rugby World Cup winning stars Lawrence Dallaglio and Mike Tindall, alongside actors James Nesbitt and Philip Glenister.

The Green Room will be back at The Oval next year for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and The Ashes test.
