Last weekend we took The Green Room to Dublin, where England came head to head with Ireland for their first Six Nations clash of the series.
We welcomed our VIP guests with a champagne reception at Dublin’s largest hotel, The Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, the perfect venue for our prestigious Green Room.
As everyone made their way to their seats our entertaining host, Mark Durden-Smith, began the day with an exclusive Q&A on stage with Lawrence Dallaglio. He went on to introduce ambassador Mike Tindall to the stage joining special guests Irish professional rugby union player, Fergus McFadden and former Irish rugby union player, Jamie Heaslip. Mark probed our panel into sharing their thoughts on the upcoming game, including their result predictions plus embarrassing and funny stories during their rugby careers.
Just before our VIP rugby fans made their way to the stadium they enjoyed a delicious four course luncheon…

England did not disappoint! It was a brilliant game from both sides, but England managed to take the lead early on in the game reaching half time with a 17-10 score. Although Ireland played an outstanding defence they unfortunately weren’t able steal the win. The final score was 32-20 to the England squad, leaving England Rugby fans on a high as they returned from the Aviva stadium. But our rugby entertainment didn’t stop there…
It was time for Mark to do what he does best, compere another panel session but this time is was retired Ireland player Alan Quinlan and Irish former rugby union player Ronan O’Gara’s turn to be in the spotlight. Also inviting both ambassadors to the stage – Mike Tindall and Lawrence Dallaglio – together they all discussed the intense first game for England as they took on the mighty Ireland and how they managed to come out victorious.
All guests were in such great spirits from England’s impressive winning game earlier, and to top it off Jungle Boogie, a local Irish band, took to the stage to perform some well-known hits to get guests on their feet and dancing!
Remember to follow us on social media for all the behind the scenes action or join us there yourself for the upcoming Guinness Six Nations games this season with VIP hospitality!
