FAQ

WHERE IS THE GREEN ROOM LOCATED?

The Green Room is located on the first floor of the Duchess’s Stand offering outstanding views of the track, and the finishing post with access to an additional balcony overlooking the parade ring, with views of London.

Enter through door two of The Duchess’s Stand.

DRESS CODE

Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. Collar and ties are encouraged. Ladies are asked to wear a fascinator or hat. Children should be dressed smartly. Jeans, sportswear, shorts, denim, trainers and fancy dress are not permitted.

SECURITY

Spectators are asked not to bring large bags, sports bags or rucksacks into the racecourse. Only small bags, no bigger than A4 may be permitted.

ENTERTAINMENT

Soak up the carnival atmosphere with live music and entertainment throughout the day around the Grandstand. Watch out for the Red Devils. Join in the after party on the Hyperion Lawn next to the Parade Ring once racing finishes.

The Cazoo Derby 2022 is an official part of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Queen has demonstrated an unwavering dedication and passion for the breeding, training and racing of the racehorse throughout her long reign, and we cannot wait for you to join in and celebrate all she has done in her 70 years on the throne.

BY METROBUS

Metrobus operates a 460, 480 and 406F service which runs from Epsom Town Centre to Tattenham Corner Station. It is an easy way to reach the racecourse in just 3 stops.

A dedicated shuttle bus could be running from Epsom Station, to Epsom Downs Racecourse. For more information and to check dates, visit www.goaheadlondon.com

 


 

DROP OFF / PICK UP

You can drop off and pick up by the old Derby Stables, which is opposite the Queen’s Stand and Lester Piggott gates.

BY CAR

The racecourse is just a few minutes from Epsom Town Centre on the B290 Epsom Downs Road or alternatively just off junction 9 of the M25. During the racing season, AA signs will mark all major approach routes. If you are using satellite navigation, please key in the postcode: KT18 5LQ. Alternatively, you can use the AA Route Planner and select KT18 5LQ as the destination.

Visit Traffic England to view current and future traffic conditions on Motorways and major ‘A’ roads which can assist you in your travel plans to and from Epsom Downs Racecourse.

 


 

PARKING

Guest parking is car park 10 on the day. Cross the road and enter through either the Entrance Pavilion or the Main Gates. From here you will need to enter the Duchess’s Stand at the front of the building and take the lift or stairs to the 1st floor. The Green Room is situated in the Diomed Suite.

It will be busy on entry to the site and bag searches will be in operation, so please allow some extra time for arrival.

Parking is allocated 1 per 4. Additional parking passes will need to be purchased in advance if your booking is less than 4.

BY TRAIN

Epsom Station is connected by both South West Trains and Southern Trains. Connections from London Waterloo & London Victoria. Take a 10 minute taxi or bus ride from the station. Please note that during The Derby Festival a shuttle bus service runs from Epsom station.

Tattenham Corner Station. Approximately 1/2 mile walk to the racecourse.

Epsom Downs Station. Approximately 1 mile walk to the racecourse.
